OSHA
The U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration, OSHA, is a federal agency in the U.S. Department of Labor that regulates workplace conditions.
Oxidation
A change in a chemical characterized by the loss of electrons.
Oxidizer
An agent that adds oxygen chemically to a substance often by means of a series of reactions.
Old Product
“Old Product” shown with any brand name indicates that the product formulation for this product has changed. Information on old products is retained because many users may still be using an old product. The newer version of a product with the same brand name will have a date appended to the brand name.
Example:
Old Product: "WD-40 Specialist Rust Release Penetrant Spray, Aerosol-Old Product"
Old Product: "WD-40 Specialist Rust Release Penetrant Spray, Aerosol-Old Product"
was superseded by a product with the same brand name but with a new chemical formulation and associated with a new Safety Data Sheet as shown below. The date “07/17/2014” is the date that the new product was introduced.
New Product: "WD-40 Specialist Rust Release Penetrant Spray, Aerosol-07/17/2014"
