Chemical Composition/Ingredients
The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.
Advanced
The GHS classifications for chemicals associated with products in this database may be viewed by selecting the "Advanced" button on the Chemical Ingredients tables. Since this is a work in progress, GHS classifications may not be shown for all chemical ingredients.-
Primary Chemical Name is the standard name assigned to a chemical substance.
ChemicalChemical Abstracts Service Registry Number is a unique identifier for a chemical and its synonyms. CAS numbers identify the chemical, but not its concentration or specific mixture. CAS Registry Numbers are assigned by the Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society. For more information: www.cas.org

Since this is a work in progress, GHS classifications may not be shown for all chemical ingredients.Hazard Codes and their associated descriptions are an essential part of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). There are 4 categories of Hazard Codes:
- Physical Hazard Codes (H200 series)
- Health Hazard Codes (H300 series)
- Environmental Hazard Codes (H400 series)
- Supplementary Hazard Codes (EUH series)
Hazard Codes may be found in the "Advanced" version of Chemical Composition / Ingredients tables.

Precautionary Code
Precautionary Codes may be found in the "Advanced" version of Chemical Composition / Ingredients tables.PictogramSVHC is a substance (identified by the European Chemicals Agency) that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment. SVHC are defined in Article 57 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (“the REACH Regulation”) and include substances which are:
SVHC?
1. Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to Reproduction (CMR), meeting the criteria for classification in category 1 or 2 in accordance with Directive 67/548/EEC or in category 1a or 1b in accordance with EC No 1272/2008This directive was recently replaced by the new EU regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
2. Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) or very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) according to the criteria in Annex XIII of the REACH Regulation, or
3. Identified, on a case-by-case basis, from scientific evidence as causing probable serious effects to human health or the environment of an equivalent level of concern as those above (e.g. endocrine disrupters).Kaolin clay 001332-58-7 310-194-1 1.0-5.0 -------- ------- ---- No Water 007732-18-5 231-791-2 40-50 -------- ------- ---- No Vinyl acetate, n-butyl acrylate polymer 025067-01-0 -- 10.0-20.0 -------- ------- ---- No Kieselguhr 061790-53-2 -- 1.0-5.0 -------- ------- ---- No Propylene glycol 000057-55-6 200-338-0 1.0-5.0 -------- ------- ---- No Titanium dioxide 013463-67-7 236-675-5 10.0-20.0 -------- ------- ---- No Diethylene glycol 000111-46-6 203-872-2 1.0-5.0 H302 ------- No Click on each chemical for information on chemical structure, properties and health effects.

Warnings
Causes eye, skin and respiratory tract irritation. Harmful if swallowed. When tinted, contains ethylene glycol which can cause severe kidney damage when ingested and has been shown to cause birth defects in laboratory animals. Overexposure may cause liver, kidney damage. Use only with adequate ventilation. Keep out of the reach of children. This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer. If sanding is done, wear a dust mask to avoid breathing of sanding dust. Do not breathe vapors or spray mist. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, leave the area. If properly used, a respirator may offer additional protection. Obtain professional advice before using. Close container after each use. -
Acute health effects
From MSDS Primary route(s) of exposure: Inhalation, skin contact, eye contact, ingestion. Effects of overexposure: INHALATION: Irritation of respiratory tract. Prolonged inhalation may lead to mucous membrane irritation, drowsiness, dizziness and/or lightheadedness, headache, nausea, coughing, central nervous system depression, kidney damage. SKIN CONTACT: Irritation of skin. Prolonged or repeated contact can cause dermatitis, defatting. Possible sensitization to skin. Skin contact may result in dermal absorption of component(s) of this product which may cause headache, nausea, central nervous system depression. EYE CONTACT: Irritation of eyes. Prolonged or repeated contact can cause conjunctivitis, tearing of eyes, redness of eyes. INGESTION: Ingestion may cause mouth and throat irritation, dizziness and/or lightheadedness, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastro-intestinal disturbances, severe abdominal pain, apathy, central nervous system depression, respiratory problems, intoxication, kidney damage, pulmonary edema, loss of consciousness, acute poisoning, respiratory failure, cardiac failure, brain damage. Supplemental Health Information: contains a chemical that may be absorbed through skin. Other effects of overexposure may include toxicity to liver, kidney and reproductive system. Medical conditions aggravated by exposure: Eye, skin, respiratory disorders, lung disorders, kidney disorders. -
Chronic health effects
From MSDS Prolonged or repeated skin contact can cause dermatitis, defatting. Possible sensitization to skin. Prolonged or repeated eye contact can cause conjunctivitis, tearing of eyes, redness of eyes. REPRODUCTIVE EFFECTS: A study conducted by NTP, using a continuous breeding protocol, demonstrated that diethylene glycol in drinking water at a concentration of 3.5% (6.1 g/kg/day) resulted in decreased fertility and reproductive performance in mice. These effects were not seen in the lower dose levels evaluated. Since the exposure resulting from incidental contact is likely to be lower by several degrees of magnitude and the route of exposure used in this study does not reflect a likely route from occupational or consumer use, the significance of these findings to humans is uncertain. TERATOGENICITY: No teratogenic effects are anticipated. -
Carcinogenicity
From MSDS None -
Handling information
From MSDS Handling and storage: Store below 100oF (38oC). Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Keep from freezing. Other precautions: Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not take internally. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and breathing of vapors. Wash hands thoroughly after handling, especially before eating or smoking. Keep containers tightly closed and upright when not in use. Avoid conditions which result in formation of inhalable particles such as spraying or abrading (sanding) painted surfaces. If such conditions cannot be avoided, use appropriate respiratory protection. -
Disposal information
From MSDS Dispose in accordance with all applicable regulations. Avoid discharge to natural waters. -
First Aid
From MSDS INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. Restore and support continued breathing. Get emergency medical attention. Have trained person give oxygen if necessary. Get medical help for any breathing difficulty. Remove to fresh air if inhalation causes eye watering, headaches, dizziness, or other discomfort. SKIN: Flush from skin with water. Then wash thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use. EYE: Flush immediately with large amounts of water, especially under lids for at least 15 minutes. If irritation or other effects persist, obtain medical treatment. INGESTION: If swallowed, obtain medical treatment immediately.
