First Aid Information For: Ortho Orthenex Garden Insect and Disease Control Concentrate-Old Product

From MSDS From MSDS: EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes immediately with fresh water for at least 15 minutes while holding the eyelids open. Remove contact lenses if worn. Call a physician. SKIN CONTACT: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing. If irritation develops, get medical attention. INGESTION: If swallowed, call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to by a poison control center or doctor. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. INHALATION: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice. NOTES TO PHYSICIAN: Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate use of gastric lavage. This material contains a cholinesterase inhibitor. Measurement of blood cholinesterase activity may be useful in monitoring exposure. If signs of cholinesterase inhibition appear, atropine sulfate is antidotal. 2-PAM (Protopam) is also antidotal and may be used in conjunction with atropine but should not be used alone. IF SWALLOWED: Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician or Poison Control Center. Drink promptly a large quantity of milk, egg whites, gelatin solution, or, if these are not available, drink large quantities of water. Avoid alcohol.
