First Aid Information For:

Sterling Lynsol Denatured Alcohol, 1400N-07/16/2019

Eye Contact: Flood with plenty of water with eye lids held open for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention promptly. 
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash exposed area with soap and water. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Launder clothing before reuse.
Inhalation: If illness occurs, remove patient to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing has stopped, start artificial respiration. Call physician immediately.
Ingestion: If swallowed, call a poison control center or doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Symptoms vary with alcohol level of the blood. Mild alcohol intoxicatin ocurrs at blood levels between 0.05-0.15%. Approximately 25% of individuals show signs of intoxication at these levels. Above 0.15% the person is definitely under the influence of ethanol; 50-95% of individuals are clinically intoxicated at these levels. Severe poisoning occurs when the blood ethanol level is 0.3-0.5%. Above 0.5% the individual will be comatose adn death can occur. The unabsorbed ethanol should be removed by gastric lavage after intubating the patient to prevent aspiration. Avoid the use of depressant drugs or the excessive administration of fluids.
